Taylor Jungman wins 2011 Dick Howser Trophy and named Big 12 Conference Male Athlete
Taylor Jungman, ex-Austin Wings baseball player was the third Texas Longhorn to win the Dick Howser Trophy. In June, Taylor was presented with the Dick Howser Trophy by Easton Foundations in Omaha, Nebraska. The Dick Howser Trophy is awarded to college baseball’s player of the year. Taylor discusses the award and his future in an interview with Travis Cram. Taylor was also named the 2010-2011 Big 12 Conference Male Athlete of the Year. He became the first baseball player to win the award in its 15 year history. Jungman played with the Austin Wings for several years prior to attending the University of Texas at Austin. Congratulations to Taylor from Wings players and coaches past and present!
Austin Wings Junior Red are Consolation Champions! (July 24, 2011)
The Austin Wings Red are the Premier Baseball Junior Consolation Champions. On July 24th, the Wings defeated the Houston Raiders 4 – 3 in the consolation championship game at Lincoln Field in Pittsburg, Kansas. The Wings compiled a record of 5 – 3 in the event that began Wednesday, July 20 and included 40 teams from across the country. Congratulations to the Austin Wings Red!

The Austin Wings Black are the Premier Baseball Sophomore National Champions. On July 31st, the Wings defeated the Columbia Angels 5 – 4 in the championship game at Texas Tech University’s Dan Law Field in Lubbock, Texas. The Wings compiled a record of 9 – 0 in the event that began Wednesday, July 27 and included 48 teams from across the country. Congratulations to the Austin Wings Black!

Austin Wings Black are National Champions! (Jul/27/2008)
Austin Wings Black 17 are Premier Baseball National Champions! On July 27th, the Black Wings defeated the Indiania Bulls 10-9 in 8 innings in Joplin, MO. Congratulations to the Austin Wings Black 17 who won 8 straight games in Joplin.
Earlier in the month the Austin Wings Seniors played well at the Premier Senior National Championship in Cincinnati but were eliminated in the semi finals by the Indiana Bulls.

Austin Wings a member of Premier Baseball (May/20/2008)
Premier Baseball is an aggregation of baseball organizations that have been in business for a number of years and have achieved a high level of success on the field. Each organization has as its goal, playing the best baseball possible. Premier was formed to assist in that goal. Each organization has the welfare and advancement of its players as its goal. Premier formed to assist in that goal.. Currently, there are 21 organizations that are part of Premier baseball
Premier Baseball is not a league, and at present does not contemplate engaging in league play among its members, although its members are free to engage in league play. The members of Premier will host invitational tournaments whose pools and brackets will be populated by other Premier teams, though not exclusively.
Premier was not formed to compete with other national organizations, nor is its goal to put others out of business or to be divisive in any way. Teams from Premier organizations will play and compete in a number of existing national organizations. Premier is an attempt to meet the needs of its members in what is an ever-changing amateur baseball landscape.
